Phoenix, Arizona (June 11, 2024 ) The Arizona Soccer Association (ASA), in partnership with their charitable arm, the Arizona Soccer Foundation, is pleased to announce the recipients of the MaxinMotion First Generation Higher Education Scholarship.
“On behalf of our board of directors, the Arizona Soccer Foundation is proud to be awarding the first-ever round of scholarships to these outstanding college-bound students. The fact that they are the first in their families to attend college makes this even more special and we look forward to seeing them succeed, both in school and beyond,” said Ray Artigue, Executive Director of the foundation.
The Arizona Soccer Foundation was launched in 2022 and is governed by a board of community leaders. It intends to award these college scholarships on an annual basis, while also supporting the growth of youth soccer throughout the state.
“We are honored to be able to support four first generation students with this renewable scholarship. Arizona Soccer Foundation would truly like to thank the MaxInMotion Foundation as they have made this scholarship possible. We wish these four students the best of luck this fall and look forward to our second awarding in spring 2025,” said Jonathan Berzins, ASA CEO.
